The full trailer for Michael Bay’s ‘Transformers: The Last Knight‘ has arrived… and delivers exactly what it says on the metallic, chrome, razor-sharp tin.
Whether you are the greatest fan of Michael Bay’s work or not, it’s the kind of grand-scale, tech-savvy film-making that hits the box-office with a robotic slegehammer and relentlessly refuses to give an inch. So it’s no real surprise that even after divided reviews of the Transformers films to date, we’re back for more with… Transformers: The Last Knight.
This time it’s not just size and breadth but time… with some familiar and new faces (Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Laura Haddock, Isabella Moner, Stanley Tucci and John Turturro) being caught up in a story that spans the centuries, telling a tale – here narrated by Anthony Hopkins (seen most recently in Westworld) – of a large-scale battle to save the earth as we’ve known it. All the relevant elements are back – big explosions, slow-motion running, epic speeches and clashes of flesh, metallic and chrome. It ends with Optimus Prime fighting Bumblebee… well that can’t be good for either of them!
It hits cinemas in June 2017.
