Tarantino's latest film, Django Unchained, won't hit the screens until the end of the year, but a trailer for the western remake is already here…
There's been some major changes to the cast since Will Smith was originally planned to take the title role in Quentin Tarantino's remake of the classic 70s exploitation western series. Both Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner joined the cast but then had to pull out.
Bringing Tarantino's usual wry, in-your-face, down-and-dirty style, the film now stars Jamie Foxx in the main part (Franco Nero was the 70s' original), a freed slave helping track down the gang who attacked his family. The supporting cast includes Leonardo DiCaprio as an evil plantation owner, Christoph Waltz (as the German dentist turned bounty hunter who frees Django) and Kerry Washington as Django's kidnapped wife. Samuel L Jackson, Walton Goggins, James Remar, Anthony LaPaglia and Don Johnson also star.
The film will hit US cinemas on Christmas Day.
