With the release of Iron Man 3 only a few months away now, the publicity machine is gearing up - including the release of another - and quite dramatic - poster, depicting a semi-suited tony Stark plunging towards the earth. We already know that the latest chapter will balance the fun with a degree of darkness and see some personal and professional challenges for the playboy billionnaire and his alter-ego.
We know that Sir Ben Kingsley, presumably in the role of the Mandarin, is the major threat to Iron Man in this second sequel and that we'll also see the cinematic debut of the 'Iron Patriot' variation of the armour. The trailer for the film depicts some key action sequences and with material shot in the US and in China, there should be an international feel to proceedings. There's also talk of the armoured Avenger being space-bound at some point, perhaps tying the character in with the propsoed 'Guardians of the Galaxy' movie that also forms part of Marvel Studios' 'Phase Two' - and reflects some of the current themes within the comics that inspire them.
We're also quite impressed with the teaser for another Iron Man project - the next animated anime-stylled DVD outing from Marvel/Madhouse entitled 'Rise of the Technovore' - you can see the trailer here CLICKY
