Vikings’ Season Five takes it to The Edge…

Vikings

After moving from the square ring to the rectangular screens, Adam Copeland (aka ‘The Edge’) will next be seen in the fifth season of hit action drama ‘Vikings’…

Adam Copeland  aka ‘The Edge‘ has made quite a second career after exiting the WWE wrestling ring for roles on television and film. He played a highwayman for the cinematic release of Highlander: Endgame and appeared in such tv shows as Sanctuary, The Flash and as a regular in the cult SyFy series Haven playing Dwight Hendrickson for over forty episodes. He will be seen next in the film Interrogation opposite another WWE star C J ‘Lana’ Perry, out later this year.

But now he will also have to brush up on his Norse code. Industry site Deadline confirms today that as he will continue a busy 2016 slate by taking a recurring role in the fifth season of the History Channel‘s Vikings. He is set to play a character called Ketill Flatnose, a warrior chosen by Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) to lead a Viking party to set up a community in Iceland. He is one of several new faces in the series which will also include the debut of  Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Filming will begin on the fifth season later this year though fans of the show have the second half of the fourth series to look forward to… below is a glimpse of the trailer for that, which debuted at the SDCC this weekend…

As long as filming commitments don’t clash, Copeland is also due to be a guest at the 30th Anniversary Highlander event in Florida this December…
