Birth of the Dragon gets plaudits and new trailer…

Fresh from its debut in Toronto, the mainstream public is getting their first look at the much-anticipated ‘Birth of the Dragon‘… 


As mentioned in the last few days, Birth of the Dragon had its debut at the Toronto Film Festival this week and is already creating a lot of interest, not just with an expectant public and the martial-arts historians but also with buyers for the film rights themselves. Directed by George Nolfi, and inspired by real events, it pitches two iconic practitioners of martial arts ( Philip Ng) and Wong Jack Man (Yu Xia) against each other to prove not just whom is the better fighter but also who holds the future of the way kung-fu would be taught in the West – if at all.

Industry site Deadline managed to get the web-exclusive on the first promotional trailer for the film, giving fans the first real look at the tone and style of the film and it’s since been released to the web.
