Vic Armstrong saddles up for 'Sunday'...

Legendary stuntmaster Vic Armstrong's 'Left Behind' will be released later this year - but he's already taking the reins of his next project...

Vic Armstrong to direct The Sunday HorseAs we recently reported, Vic Armstrong is currently putting the finishing touches to editing  the big-screen remake of Left Behind, the Rapture-themed thriller based on the best-selling books and which stars Nic Cage. But he's not wasting any time returning to the director's chair for a new production...

Vic has hitched his talents to a project with some impressive (and literal) horse-power. The Sunday Horse is inspired by the true story of Debi Connor, a rider without the usual high-society and financial conenctions who rose up against the odds and proved herself a champion horse-jumper, surviving prejudice and a serious riding accident.

Armstrong himself has a long-standing love of horses - his father coached Olympic-level UK show-jumpers for twenty years and Vic still owns an indoor riding arena at his English farm.  He also told Impact recently that he had been approached by the John Ford Foundation with the possibility of helming the late director's unfilmed Commanche Stallion.

"The Sunday Horse is a project made for me because it is set in a world I grew up in... and that my daughter Georgina (Rawlings,  who plays Venice Baxter in Left Behind) lives now. She has two jumpers from under-privileged backgrounds that are turning into champions..." Vic told Impact.

We'll be following both Left Behind and The Sunday Horse on their journey to the screen...
