Michelle Yeoh ready to 'Strike Back'...

Written by (Far Eastern Editor) on 24th March 2014

Eastern screen legend Michelle Yeoh is the latest star to join the acclaimed military action tv series 'Strike Back' for its fourth and final season...

Based on the novel of the same name by former SAS operative Chris Ryan, Strike Back has been bringing some very impressive action to the small screen courtesy of SKY and Cinemax. The first series was produced by SKY only, before SKY and Cinemax joined forces for the subsequent series, telling the adventures of an elite force 'Section 20' that works for the British and American governments.

Over the course of its run, familiar faces including Andrew Lincoln from The Walking Dead, Richard Armitage from Spooks/MI-5, Rhona Mitra from Doomsday, Philip Winchester from Thunderbirds, Sullivan Stapleton (most recently seen in 300: Rise of An Empire), Dougray Scott from MI2, Charles Dance from Brideshead Revisited, Martin Clunes from Men Behaving Badly and Robson Green from Soldier Soldier have all appeared in the show.

A fourth and possibly final series has been shooting in Thailand the last few months and non-other than former James Bond star and Crouching Tiger heroine Michelle Yeoh has been seen on set  kicking butt and taking names and looks set to be a pivotal character in the new series. There have been several attempts previously to bring Ms Yeoh to the small screen without success, and it looks like Strike Back managed to do the impossible.

We're big fans of the series. Its action is close to cinema-quality and we're looking forward to seeing her battling alongside our heroes. More news as we get it.
