The latest MillarWorld comic to get the big-screen treatment is The Secret Service (or: Kingsman: The Secret Service to give it its just-confirmed title.
As always, Millar's concepts are a mixture of OTT action, a wry sense of humour and more than a bit of social comment with a fantastical twist. The original comic, illustrated by Watchmen's Dave Gibbons, tells the tale of a boy plucked from a dead-end life and housing estate by his uncle who turns out to be a government agent... and who is about to train him to follow in his crime-fighting footsteps. But the task ahead isn't mere derring-do, but a full-on task to stop the forces of darkness from not only changing the world but also kidnapping some rather famous sci-fi icons.
The film, directed by Millar's frequent wingman Matthew Vaughn stars Colin Firth as Uncle Jack, newcomer Taron Egerton and veterans such as Samuel L. Jackson and Sir Michael Caine. It is released by Twentieth Century Fox in October.
For the moment, here's the rather stylish poster that tells you everything you need to know without giving you specifics...
