It's one of those projects that, for various reasons, never goes away. The Crow movies became infamous, rather than simply famous, after the death of Brandon Lee on the set of the original 1994 movie. Now it's been reported by no less than the producer of that film, Ed Pressman (also known for his work with Wall Street, American Psycho) that the much rumoured, delayed and rumoured again remake of The Crow might well be inching closer to a revival.
During his appearance at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival Pressman told The Hollywood Reporter that he had hopes that the new film would begin 'in the spring'. It isn't known who might essay the central role, though there have been a number of contenders over the years. At one point Bradley Cooper was supposedly in the running though he eventually denied he'd even been approached. The latest name appears to be Dracula Untold's leading man Lee Evans who even discussed abstract aspects of the project earlier this year.
We'll report any further developments as the project (hopefully) progresses...
