Not so fast? 'FF7' is 'Furious' with new title...

26th October 2014

After a very long journey to the screen, tinged by tragedy, the 'Fast and Furious' franchise will back on screens this coming April...

The latest in the Fast and Furious movie franchise has had a turbulent trail to the screen. There was, of course, the tragic death of star Paul Walker before he had completely finished filming - though most of his scenes were lensed before his death, ironically in a vehicle accident, in 2013.

The producers have now revealed that the film's title will be the short-and-to-the-point Furious 7.  This continues the style of using variations on a theme throughout the franchise's history. Previous titles have included the numeric-twist of  2 Fast 2 Furious, The Fast and the Furious, a slightly more simple and less specific Fast and Furious and Fast Five. This seventh chapter will actually be the first incarnation NOT to have the word 'Fast' in its title, though we suspect that won't stop the film from providing the requisite car-chases as ever.

The cast boasts many of the characters from previous chapters - the actors including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson and Tyrese Gibson and joined by the likes of Jason Statham, Tony Jaa, and Kurt Russell.  Paul Walker's brothers, Cody and Caleb, have also filmed scenes in the film which will be sued to fill out some plot-holes created by the scenes that were not finished in time.

The film will open in US cinemas on 3rd April 2015 with the first trailer due to hit the screens and the interwebs next week...
