Attack On Titan (Part 1), from Japanese studio Toho, is likely to make quite an impact in July with a large world premiere in Hollywood as well as - a few days earlier - making its presence known at the San Diego Comic Con. The story is an adaptation of the manga epic (which has sold over 50 MILLION copies) which had previously been turned into an anime series and tells of a futuristic world, mankind decimated by giants and fighting to survive behind a three-walled city.
Funimation Entertainment announced that Shinji Higuchi, the film's director, is being flown in to make a special appearance at the famous event on 12th July and then two days later will attend the world premiere with two of the film's stars (Haruma Miura and Kiko Mizuhara) expected to appear at the at the equally famous Egyptian Theatre.
The plan is to then release the film in Japan - Part 1 on 1st August, quickly followed by the second chapter on 19th September.
