The film h stars Sho, his sons Shane and Kane Kosugi and was directed by Gordon Hessler (from a script by British actor James Booth of Zulu, Avenging Force fame) who also plays the main villain.
The plot: Japanese businessman Akira (Kosugi) has taken his wife and children to the United States in search of a better life for all of them, but their American dream is shattered when they fall foul of a vicious crime syndicate. But what the bad guys don't realise, is... Akira hides a secret past as a Ninja warrior, and when he's pushed too far, he will walk the road of vengeance!
Hessler who would later be reunited with Kosugi on the action thriller Rage of Honour, directs a dark and brutal tale and the Arrow release will feature the unrated print in a HD presentation from MGM's original masters, along with an archive interview and martial arts demonstration from the films New York premiere, and a brand new retrospective interview with Sho Kosugi. There will also be a collectors booklet featuring extracts from his upcoming biography. On top of all that, there's new artwork too, which - in our opinion - doesn't do the film justice and we wish either of the original artwork designs for the film had been chosen for the release instead!
