Sony Pictures have announced that they will soon be going forward with a sequel to the Angelina Jolie action movie, SALT. In the original, which made around $300m, Jolie plays an agent that appears to have been set up by her own company - is she really a Russian spy? Even at the time there seemed the strong possibility that a sequel could be greenlighted but in the two years since it was never clear if that option would be taken.
Kurt Wimmer is currently working on the sequel's script and Jolie seems actively interested in reprising her role. There's no details as yet on actual story, further castig or release date.
