While director Luc Besson is about to start promoting The Lady, his Michelle Yeoh-starring biopic of Burmese activist Aung San Suu Kyi (a movie heavily-tipped for Oscar nominations) there's another lady in his near future. Besson will return to more familiar all-out action territory with a currently un-named project with Angelina Jolie. Besson will direct from a script he has penned himself. The story itself is also under-wraps though it has been described as a blockbuster with real-life scientific elements. The film should shoot in Paris in April.
Jolie's workload will follow on after the Besson project when she teams up with another legendary director, Ridley Scott for a biopic of Gertrude Bell. There is also talk of her portraying Maleficent, an alternative take on Sleeping Beauty.
