The Marvel one shot stars Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford, who star as a couple who've struggled in life until they find a discarded gun. The gun happens to be alien, a leftover from the final battle in The Avengers. With this tech, they make some bad decisions in an attempt to fix their problems but S.H.I.E.L.D want the gun, Item 47, back. Marvel Studios co-president Louis D'Esoisito told Entertainment Weekly, "The world is topsy-turvy now. There's been an alien invasion and things are crazy". It will certainly be interesting to see a more human/non-S.H.I.E.L.D point of view of what happened.
Check out a very short clip below, which introduces the S.H.I.E.L.D agents. It's really good to see Lost's Titus Welliver back on the radar along with Thor's Maximiliano Hernández.
This is Marvel's longest one shot yet, set at twelve minutes. Previous one shots have featured in Thor and Captain America but they were all under four minutes and starred fan favourite Agent Coulson. With Item 47 being their most elaborate yet, Marvel look set to continue to explore short films which means more content for us!
