Daredevil’s second season begins in March on Netflix and a second teaser trailer shows us a lot more of Elektra (Elodie Young)…
The second season of Marvel/Netflix series Daredevil is now less than a month away. It will debut -with every episode available – on 18th March. Those who liked the first run – and it was a critical success on almost all fronts – should prepare themselves for more of the same, with the introduction of key characters from the Marvel Comics world. The first teaser trailer for the second season had its focus on the Punisher (The Walking Dead‘s Jon Bernthal). The second mainly pivots around another key character: Elektra (played by Elodie Young).
The estranged lover from Matt Murdock’s college years became a warrior in her own right and journeys back to Hell’s Kitchen to warn Matt that there’s trouble brewing. Matt thought he’d got rid of the eastern gang-members that plagued his streets during his clash with another gangland boss, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), but ‘The hand’ have simply been waiting for the decks to clear before making their move to own the streets once more. Can Matt and Elektra hope to make a stand against the impressive martial-arts and killer instinct of the infamous eastern sect? Even if they can, what will be the cost to Matt’s friends, Foggy Nelson and Karen Page… and his old mentor Stick (Scott Glenn)?
The trailer whets our appetite nicely – it does seem that the Netflix/Marvel partnership is paying dividends…
I hope season 1 comes out on blu ray / DVD especially in the UK.
