The James Bond news keeps a'coming... no real surprise as the debut of SkyFall and the assorted 007-themed anniversary events draw ever nearer. The latest information is that Daniel Craig has officially signed up to two more Bond movies beyond SkyFall. The secret agent tends to change his face as often as Doctor Who, but the latest incarnation of Bond - though controversial at first for its more gritty approach to a franchise that had become more over-the-top - has been successful for all concerned. Craig has had success elesehwere and remains a bankable star, but some of his other projects have been less successful (Cowboys and Aliens wasn't a massive success and the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo remake divided audiences who seemed to prefer the original European version).
But Craig now has two successful Bonds under his belt (Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace) and word on SkyFall looks good, so the two-picture deal seems a good one for both parties. If the Bond franchise, now back on track after the problems with MGM, continues to make/release Bond movies every other year, Craig's deal could see him playing 007 as far ahead as 2016.
