Further to the news that despite a vastly-underwhelming critical response to Taken 2, the film taken a reasonable about of box-office and a Taken 3 is being considered, its star Liam Neeson will be heading skyward for his next project. He will play a burnt out air-marshall who battles terrorists while aboard an international flight in Non-Stop, the latest project from Joel Silver's Dark Castle Entertainment which will be distributed by Warner Brothers.
The film was originally announced with Never Back Down and Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow at the helm but it now seems that Neeson's Unknown director Jaume Collet-Serra will be taking the directors reigns while Julianne Moore is set to join the cast.
The idea of Die Hard in a plane meets Speed meets Passenger 57 meets moments of Executive Decision (those without Steven Segal in them) and the idea of Neeson kicking ass and taking names (though please not at 12 certificate rating!)at 40, 000 feet could be exciting.
We're just glad it's not called 'Taken Off'
