‘Castle Rock’ series to revisit/expand Stephen King stories…

Castle Rock

Will hulu‘s new Stephen King-based anthology show be a ‘Shining‘ example of how to avoid ‘Misery‘..?

Over the last week or so there’s been news swirling about a new Stephen King-related project that could be heading to television in the near future.

And now hulu has officially given a ten episode order to the psychological-horror anthology series which will be entitled Castle Rock.Though there isn’t detailed news about the contents of the show, we know that it reworks, re-imagines and possibly even reunites various existing elements of King’s work. As fans will know several of King’s works have centred around or included the fictional town of the title and now Bad Robot (with J J Abrams) and Warner Bros TV are joining up to produce the series (a ten episode order already approved) that will be shown on the hulu service in the US and will be distributed internationally by Warners.

Though there’s no air-date set as yet, production is due to start later this year, probably for a 2018 debut.

There has been a thematic trailer released which has already received over a million views on YouTube
