We're all waiting for the revival of the Mad Max franchise to see if it lives up to the hype and the legacy left by the original trilogy of films that starred Mel Gibson back in the 1980s. George Miller will once again direct with Tom Hardy now taking the role of Max Rockatanksy making his way across a post-apocalyptic Australian outback.
That film, subtitled 'Fury Road' will be in cinemas in May 2015, but in the meantime here's something to whet the appetite, the trailer for the official Mad Max: Magnum Opus game. Developed by Avalanche Studios, gamers become the eponymous Max, fighting to stay alive in 'The Wasteland'... using vicious on-ground and vehicular combat against savage gangs of bandits. Following the theft of his iconic Interceptor, Max must align himself with a gifted, but peculiar, mechanic named Chumbucket and others to build the ultimate war vehicle as he works to escape from the dangerous Wasteland.
The game will hit just ahead of the main film next year...
