This week sees the release of The Expendables 2 and we already know that Arnold will be re-teaming with Sly Stallone for prison-break movie The Tomb next year. But 2013 will also see Schwarzenegger star in solo-form in The Last Stand, playing the sherrif, Ray Owens, of a small town called Sommerton Junction, positioned on the US/Mexican border... and which is the one thing standing between an escaped drug kingpin's heavily armoured convoy and freedom. Needless to say, though reluctant at first, that sherrif, his inexperienced staff and that town are going to make the escape route as difficult as possible.
The supporting cast includes Peter Stormare (Fargo, Lockout, Prison Break), Forest Whitaker (The Crying Game, Vantage Point, The Last King of Scotland) Genesis Rodriguez (Man on a Ledge) Johnny Knoxville (Jackass) and Harry Dean Stanton - last seen cameoing in The Avengers.
The film is directed by Jee-woon Kim (The Good, The Bad and the Weird) and will be released in the UK in January...
