Earlier in the year we spoke to our friends Gillian Horvath (Highlander, Sanctuary) and Martin Wood (Stargate, Sanctuary) about the plans for the Canadian production of the Primeval series 'New World'. With the original UK show unlikely to return with its cast in the near future, it's going to be up to a new group, based out of Vancouver, to tackle monsters from the furthest past.
The show's already been bought for Canadian and UK showing and should start broadcast in the next couple of months. In the meantime, here's a glance as what you can expect from the new spin-off. In short, the same remit but seemingly with a better budget, sharper scripts ( Who can't love a show with the line: "Aren't you the guy from the Bureau of Bat-shit Crazy?" ) and some new locations and drama.
