Rivals on screen though they may be, you just can't seem to keep those Expendables' alter-egos from making movies together. Dolph Lundgren and Scott Adkins both appear in the upcoming British/Chinese co-production, Legendary - which also stars the lovely Huang Yi from Herman Yau’s Woman Knight of Mirror Lake.
The plot tells of a team of adventurers led by Travis Preston (Adkins) who travel to China in search of what isn't supposed to exist ... their mission to capture a 'Cryptid' which is wreaking havoc and killing workers in a remote village... and they need to do this before it is killed by Harker (Lundgren), the legendary bounty hunter who is less concerned with 'health and safety' issues and wants the creature as a trophy - all the better if he can humiliate Travis as well.
The film was originally announced and lensed under the title Tomb of the Dragon, and shot in 3D China last year with Eric Styles as director and Willie Yang handling the films action and stunt sequences. The first teaser for the film has been released but we’ll wait to see more before passing judgement…
Adkins himself will next be seen in Green Street Hooligans: Underground, the third in the series and the upcoming Ninja 2 which recently wrapped in Thailand.
