They’re coming to your screen with a few days to kill. If you can’t wait until August, here’s the supervillain-powered ‘Suicide Squad‘ trailer to die for…
There’s been a fair amount of criticism of the upcoming Superman Vs Batman: Dawn of Justice outing coming in March – the feeling being that it might fall into the same problems as Man of Steel and be far too grim and gritty. That being said, the tone for the upcoming Suicide Squad, uniting many of the DC‘s universe’s most notorious villains as a dispensable team of disavowed fighters who get a deal to have their sentences reduced or conditions improved in return for their services, looks spot on if the trailer – out today – is anything to go by.
Though there was an teaser trailer released at the end of 2015, this newer trailer, set to the music of Queen‘s Bohemian Rhapsody, gives us our first real view of the film’s action and pacing – a neon-hued anarchic sprawl of snark and violence. or, as Marvel‘s Deadpool might call it, the ultimate bedtime story.
Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer stars the likes of Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Cara Delevingne, Jay Courtney, Viola Davis with an appearance by Ben Affleck’s Batman and is released by Warner Bros gets its release in early August
