Jurassic World 'triumphs' at box-office...

24th July 2015

Jurassic World's success has secured a further sequel. In the meantime there's a chance to help a good cause with an auction for Chris Pratt's 'Triumph Scrambler'...

Jurassic World triumphThough the reviews of the film were middling, the box-office for Jurassic World have been impressive - at time of writing it's the third most successful movie ever, having accumulated $1.52 at the box-office and not even yet opened in Japan, a key market... to give a sense of scale, that's just over-taken The Avengers.  So perhaps the news that a sequel has been greelighted is something of a no-brainer.

It's been confirmed that the as-yet un-named sequel (the fifth in the franchise) will once again have Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in key roles. Steven Spielberg will once again be an executive producer, with Colin Trevorrow ('World''s director) writing the screenplay with Derek Connolly. It is not yet confirmed who will direct the next chapter. Despite all of that - and as is Hollywood tradition - a release date has already been confirmed: 22nd June 2018.

In the meantime, we've been made aware of a charity auction that has one of the three bokes that Chris Pratt used in the film up for grabs. Proceeds from the auction of the Triumph Scrambler - based on the brand’s iconic Bonneville model, combining classic off-road influences with the Hinckley firm’s signature twin cylinder, 865cc engine - will be going to The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride which has already raised $2million for global medical research into prostate cancer.

The auction runs until 2nd August and, should you feel rich and altruistic, you can find more information on ebay - please spread the word for this good cause...
