Impact has championed British director Ross Boyask's career since the early days of Pure Vengeance through the grindhouse actioners Left for Dead and 10 Dead Men which we covered at length in the pages of the magazine over the years. Boyask just wrapped post-production on his latest feature, the post apocalyptic swordplay fantasy Warrioress with Cecily Fay which should make its market debut at this year's Cannes Film Festival... and we're proud to announce his latest project: Tower of the Dead!
Its a film which could easily be described as 'The Raid meets 28 Days Later', with the newly formed Subway Heights Productions joining forces with Angry Badger Pictures and Inspired Films to produce it, the film will be directed by Ross and produced by Paul Reynolds and John Adams (The Magnificent Eleven, Payback Season) from a script by Ross and Paul. Louis Paltnoi '(The Thompsons, Death Penalty) will handle executive producer duties.
The film follows a highly trained armed response team tasked with extracting a notorious arms dealer from his lair for interrogation in order to thwart the plans of a dirty bomb terror suspect. After an intense shootout the team soon realise that their target (and his heavily armed henchmen) are not the only threats they face.
Casting is already underway for the project, and the film is scheduled to go into production this summer. Look out for more news about the project on the Impact website as things progress.
