Trailer: JCVD keeps his 'Enemies Closer'...

After playing heroes for most of his career, it seems Jean Claude Van Damme is enjoying playing a run of bad-guys. The latest is 'Enemies Closer'...

Impact’s original cover star Jean-Claude Van Damme gets bad in Peter Hyams dark thriller Enemies Closer. Forest ranger and Ex-Navy SEAL Henry ( Tom Everett Scott) is forced by a drug cartel to help retrieve a major shipment of drugs which went missing on the US-Canadian border. While in the woods, he runs into Clay ( Orlando Jones), who holds a vendetta against him, but both men  end up working together  to try and escape the forest and defeat the cartel, led by the psychopathic Xander (Van Damme), while, of course, astill t odds and at knife's edge with each other.

The film which reteams Hyams with his Time Cop and Sudden Death star, features Van Damme playing a very dark and disturbed vegan assassin, proving once again that, nowadays, the actor doesn't mind being a villain as often as a hero. (And longterm fans of Van Damme should listen out for a speech in the film which will no doubt become a favourite).
