It’s clear that Marvel Studios have always had a sense of momentum and scale, a blueprint that takes them several steps ahead of their current releases, laying the groundwork for what’s to come. Some of their releases have been more popular than others, but there’s always been clues and touchstones to what we can expect next.
The Avengers was a landmark production uniting their existing heroes and the next big project with be the two-film whammy that encompasses The Infinity War. Marvel’s heroes, separated by the events of Captain America: Civil War and conflicts in their individual movies are not in the best place to come together to face a truly cosmic threat but they’ll have to make (rainbow?) bridges as Thanos goes after the Infinity Stones that have been scattered through the various movies to date.
As production on the first of those films began, Marvel has released a promotional video of some of the cast on set and discussing a little of what we can expect from the blockbusters. The film will see Iron Man, Captain America, The Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-man appearing all together for the first time.
Avengers: Infinity War: Part One opens on 4th May 2018 with the second part scheduled for 3rd May 2019…
