Will Miss be a Hit for SKY?

8th June 2011

Sky Atlantic, with a remit to bring top US programming to the UK, is all set to co-produce a new drama series about a transatlantic, transgender assassin...

Chloe Sevigne (star of TV's Big Love and Oscar nominated for the film Boys Don‘t Cry) has signed up to star as the central character in Hit and Miss - a drama about a contract killer , Mia, who just happens to be transgender. Her professional life is turned upside down when she finds out that while she was a he, he actually fathered several children. Deadline reports that Sevigne has signed up for six episodes which will begin this summer after the actress completes the strenuous physical training for the assassin role.

At the current point it is not known which US network or broadcaster might take the show, though Sky Atlantic has significant ties to HBO and exclusive tights to show their output - so this might end up working well in both directions (especially as Big Love was an established, successful HBO show).
