After presenting one of the awards at last year's event, John has been asked to join a group of journalists and industry names who will work on a shortlist of nominees for the prestigious Stan Lee Awards for their second year.
The awards cover work created by professionals in comics, film and television over the last twelve months. The full list of nominees will be published on Monday February 20th so that fans can vote for the winners, with the successful nominees handed their awards at the Kapow! event in May. Previous winners have included The Walking Dead, Inception, artists Dace Gibbons (Watchmen), John Romita Jnr (Kick-Ass) Other judges on the panel include Comic Book Resources' Jeffrey Renaud, artist Klaus Janson, film director James Gunn, AICN's Adrian Hieatt, Iron Man screenwriter Drew Pearce, former Marvel and DC editor Jenny Lee, Richard George from IGN and Simon Brew from Den of Geek.
