Tony Jaa returns to action in the highly anticipated Tom Yum Goong 2, shot in 3D and teaming him with Jiji Yanin from Chocolate, Dan Chupong from Born to Fight and featuring The Man with the Iron Fists' RZA in a villainous turn. The film reunites Jaa with his martial arts and movie making mentors Panna Rittikrai and Prachya Pinkaew who handled the fight choreography and direction as they did with Jaa's original breakout projects Ong Bak and Tom Yum Goong.
The film didnt have the easiest journey to the big screen with Jaa - whose reputation had already taken one hell of a knock with his experiences on and off screen on Ong Bak 2 and 3 - suffering a couple of nasty injuries that set back production while leading lady Jija Yanin conceived and gave birth to a child during production. Pinkaew spoke to Impact about the shoot earlier this year and we'll be talking to him about the prodution and his career in an upcoming interview.
There's a full trailer coming soon, but this first teaser has just been released and gives us a taste of things to come...
