Wolverine Goes East!

The Wolverine sequel will finally move forward with the news that the film has settled on a shooting schedule and new director, James Mangold...

16 June 2011

Wolverine has had a difficult time in its efforts to return to the screen. The triple tragedy of the earthquake/tsunami/meltdown in Japan - where the film was due to lens - meant the project was put into permamant  delay and then the departure of director Darren Aronofsky meant the project seemed unlikely to go forward any time soon.

However it now looks as if James Mangold, whose previous outings included Knight & Day, 3:10 to Yuma and Walk the Line, will step into the role and direct the returning High jackman for the sequel. Filming is expected to begin in the Autumn. Though there is no confirmed news on whether the delays and other considerations will mean any significant changes to some of the locations or Chris (The Usual Suspects) McQuarrie's finished script, it is beleived the film will retain its 'eastern' story taken from one of the most popular runs in the Marvel Comics continuity...
