Bond: 23 - India: 0?

007 may well be out of India and off to South Africa if current rumours from the set of the next movie are true... it all seems down to being on the wrong 'track'...

25 August 2011

The latest news from the forthcoming Bond movie (still not formally named) is that the production is contemplating moving its shooting locations out of India due to problems getting permission to shut down part of the railtrack outside of Mumbai.

The film, directed by Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig, wanted to use the location for a major sequence in the film, but closing an important transport link near a major city is never easy and Take One Productions have now made it known they are contemplating a move to South Africa and a more accessible site.

“South African authorities are waiting to provide everything that is required to support this movie,” Take One told The Times of India.  “If we can’t get this cooperation from India, the film will no longer be shot here.”

The film should start shooting - wherever - in January 2012.
