Call us picky, but in the age of modern cinema technology, we're getting quite picky about our robot blockbusters (Yes, Mr Bay, we're looking at you!). But we have high hopes for Guillermo del Toro's handling of this mecha-monster-mash set for the middle of 2013. The Pacific Rim trailer actually debuted in late December, but we mislaid it in the holiday/influenza shuffle, so we're rectifying that right now.
Only time will see if this is a triumph of spectacle over story, but we think that del Toro's back-catalogue should have fans excited...
