From big bads to Big Ben... yes, lock up your perishables, American super-agent Jack Bauer is heading to London for the upcoming Live Another Day mini-series...

24 mini-series and Kiefer Sutherland to shoot in LondonWe're starting to get more news about the upcoming 24 mini-series that will be shown early in 2014. Four years after the ground-breaking action show came off air, we're going to pick up Kiefer Sutherland's fugitive agent Jack Bauer the same amount of time after his last on-screen adventure - and a significant amount of the story will take place in Europe and, specifically, London.

This is actually not the first time the series has featured international locations. Though most of the action took place in the likes of Washington, Los Angeles and New York, the show also lensed in Cape Town during the 2008 'Redemption' special that was made when the main series was delayed during the Writers' Strike.

“24 has always had such a global sensibility,”Sutherland said in a statement. “But to be able to tell this intense 24-style story with the beauty of Europe’s history and architecture as the backdrop is going to be fascinating. Hopefully, by the time you’re finished watching an episode, you’ll feel like you’ve been there…on the edge of your seat.”

The mini-series will cover twenty-four hours once more but this time it will run for twelve episodes, allowing some freedom from the stricter and sometimes limiting format of 'real-time' under which the series was made during its initial run. We know that various popular characters WILL be returning, including Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and ex-love interest Audrey Raines (Kim Raver), the latter last seen in a near-comatose state after being caught up with another life-threatening plot thwarted by Jack. William Devane will once again appear as her Secretary of Defense father. Behind the scenes are a lot of familiar faces and names form the previous series including Howard Gordon, Evan Katz, Manny Coto, David Fury, Robert Cochran, Brian Grazer and Jon Cassar.

The mini-series has been shooting in the US and is moving to the English capital shortly...
