Terracotta Distribution have quickly become one of the go-to 'labels' for eastern classics in the UK and they've just announced that they will be adding some more releases to the raft of 'forgotten gem' titles in their Classic Kung Fu Collection. Films from the series include projects with the likes of legendary Shaw Brothers-era directors like Chang Cheh, Godfrey Ho, and actors like David Chiang, Ti Lung, Alexander Lo Rei and Danny Lee.
This week, as part of that initiative they've just released The Dragon's Snake Fist on DVD, the film directed by Godfrey Ho. It stars Dragon Lee, one of the 'Bruce Lee clones' that emerged in the wake of the actor’s death, alongside Yuen Qiu (Kung Fu Hustle) and other veteran Bruce Lee-alike Bruce Lai (Return to the 36th Chamber). The story, for those of you not familiar: 'Two rival kung fu schools meet up for a secret duel where the loser must cease teaching their particular style. But years after the supposed final duel, family circumstances and bitter defeats lead to resurfacing of old rivalries and the Snake Fist School and Crane Fist school each vow to destroy the other, this time for good.'
