'Morpheus' is Superman's Boss
Laurence Fishburne may have left CSI, but he's now joining The Daily Planet, as he signs up to play Perry White in the new Superman movie...
Fishburne's fate on CSI was left somewhat hanging at the end of the most recent season and he recently decided not to sign up for another run (a new character, D B Russell - played by Cheers/Damages star Ted Danson - will come in instead). However Zack Snyder has now announced that Fishburne will be playing Perry White, the editor of The Daily Planet and the grumpy boss of reporters such as Clark Kent and Lois Lane in next year's big-screen Superman adventure.
The casting of Fishburne (also best known for playing Morpheus in the Matrix movies) nearly round-outs an already impressive cast that includes Henry Cavill as Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner as Pa Kent and Russell Crowe as Jor-El.
