Give PEACE a chance...

Written by (Editor) on 22nd October 2012

Fancy making a real difference to a good cause AND remembering a brave woman? Cynthia Rothrock and Co. show you how...

A few days ago, a good friend of mine, Victoria Speechley, passed away from liver cancer. The most scary thing was that this was less than thirty days after diagnosis. That time-frame is almost as horrendous as the disease itself and the way it robbed Victoria of a previously active and energetic life is heart-breaking...

As some of you know, both Victoria and I were heavily involved in the PEACE Fund initiative which helps children aross the world. It is a charity created by Adrian Paul, with whom we both worked on Highlander-related projects.

A special legacy fund is being set up in Victoria's memory, but in the meantime, I'm asking everyone to consider doing something in her memory - and in the case of Impact readers, there's something particularly suitable, easy and immediate. Recently Cynthia Rothrock agreed to pose for an EXCLUSIVE photograph to promote the charity and that image is now available through the PEACE site for a donation.  Victoria spent a lot of time on this project and it seems suitable that this is one of the ways we remember her.

Please run, don't walk, to:http://www.celebs4kids.org/gallery/celebrity/5239/Cynthia-Rothrock/  where you download the non-watermarked version... and also take a look at the other celebrities who have rallied to the cause. Make a small donation. Make a big difference.

RIP, Victoria.
