It's hard to tell what demographic is being aimed for here (outright scares or, more likely from its publicity strategy, more family-friendly shocks), but based from this trailer alone, we think this Norwegian supernatural thriller may be a better-than-average spooky outing.
The title comes from the Norse legends of the eventual end-of-days/fall of the gods and sees Pål Sverre Hagen starring as an archeologist, Sigurd Svendsen, obsessed with the Oseberg Viking ship - thought to be buried around 834 AD or before and then excavated in the early years of the 20th Century.
He believes that the Oseberg ship contains the answer to the mystery of Ragnarok and when, subsequently, his friend finds a simiar rune-markings an inscription that translates as 'Man Knows Little' he undertakes an expedition to the "No Man's Land" between Norway and Russia. Unfortunately for the expedition it appears that some legends are true and some are even more dangerous...
The film will hit Norwegian screens in August, but no international dates are yet known...
