Bryan Larkin pens new thriller short ‘Dead End’…

Dead End

From the mean streets of London to the neon lit back streets of Hong Kong, an assassin takes one last job that could change everything… or lead to a ‘Dead End‘ for Bryan Larkin.

BAFTA winning actor and film maker Bryan Larkin (London has Fallen) plays the nemesis of both Donnie Yen and Andy Lau in the upcoming Hong Kong crime thriller Chasing the Dragon, directed by Wong Jing and Jason Kwan. The film – which is currently in post-production – is an epic tale set during some of Hong Kong’s darker times when crime and corruption were rife, and the police were often mixed up in just as much of the misdeeds as the criminals.

No sooner had Larkin completed filming Chasing the Dragon, shooting began on the stylish short film Dead End, which was written by Larkin during his time in Hong Kong. The short film, which recently wrapped production after shooting in both Hong Kong and London, follows a veteran contract killer sent to Hong Kong from London to carry out an assignment… only for the ghosts of his past to affect the outcome.

The film is directed by Scottish action director Carter Ferguson (Outpost: Rise of the Spetnaz) and written by Larkin.  Larkin also plays the veteran contract killer sin the story, The film also stars Mark Griffin from Gladiators and Vengeance, Jason Tobin from Jasmine and Better Luck Tomorrow, Julian Gaertner from Ghost in the Shell, Emma Moosa (Ultimate Justice), Carmen Soup, Ferguson and a, yes, even a shy, retiring and modest Hong Kong based Impact editor and casting director named Mike Leeder. Arne Venema and Thomas Sandfield serve as Cinematographer & DOP respectively while Ferguson, Larkin and Leeder served as producers for the project. Here’s a teaser…
