Written by (Far Eastern Editor) on 1st February 2014

Beauty may only be skin deep, but two action stars find out that pain isn't. Cung Le & Dolph Lundgren star in 'Puncture Wounds'...

A veteran of both Strikeforce & the UFC, Cung Le has been making a name for himself in the world of martial arts and action cinema in both East & West, with memorable turns in everything from True Legend, The Grandmaster, Bodyguards & Assassins, Tekken, The Man with the Iron Fists and Dragon Eyes which saw him starring alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme. His latest project began life as A Certain Justice, but hits the screen in March as Puncture Wounds and sees him alongside Dolph Lundgren and Vinnie Jones.

The plot: After returning home from a traumatic tour of duty in Iraq, John (Cung Le) finds himself rescuing a local call girl from a group of violent Aryan Brotherhood pimps. Having killed several of them in the process, John and his family are now the prime targets of Hollis, the ruthless criminal leader of the group.

The director of Puncture Wounds is James Coyne, who previously helmed the short film Vanished, and was a co-producer on the Tekken movie which saw Cung playing Marshal Law. The project is something that Cung has been talking about for some time, and he discussed the project prior to appearing in 2009’s Pandorum, describing the film as ‘a cross between First Blood and No Country for Old Men!”

Puncture Wounds is now available for a March 11, 2014 pre-order at Amazon.com.
