There's new footage of Samuel L.Jackson's next project now available. Adapted from the anime of the same name, Kite, could have a good tail-wind to help it...

New footage from the big-screen Kite adaptationWe recently reported on the upcoming Samuel L. Jackson project 'Kite', which will be released later in 2014. The film, originally to be directed by Snakes on a Plane director the late David R. Ellis ,was finally lensed by Ralph Ziman  last year but looks to have a lot of the stylistic touches that should be of interest to all Impact readers,

As we mentioned previously, Kite is based on the famous anime story of revenge by Yasuomi Umetsu and sees a young girl, Sawa, tracking down the human-trafikkers that killed her policeman father and making them pay... very painfully. It's Leon and Hanna mixed with more than a smidgen of Hit-Girl and perhaps The Long Kiss Goodnight.

India Eisley (Secret Life of the American Teenager, Underworld: Awakening)  takes the central role of Sawa with Callan McAuliffe ( I am Number Four, The Great Gatsby) and Jackson also starring.

Now an early trailer and some clips have become available, originally found by bloodydisgusting, com   We get to see the visual tone - fast-paced and intense, but also with a sense of humour. Eisley looks more than capable with her action role and Jackson channels his familiar laid-back, but don't-mess-with-me style.

We're looking forward to the finished result...
