It’s time to ‘Power‘ up once again. The ‘Power Rangers‘ will be back on screens soon and we’ve got a look at the final trailer for the cinematic release…
Though it’s been a little in the shadow of other ‘superhero’ movies of late, we’re getting close to the release of one of the older franchise favourites, a reboot of the Power Rangers, due in March. The franchise has seen various incarnations and spin-off over the years, in both ‘live-action’ and animated form and became something of a phenomenon when the original ‘dubbed’ episodes were shown in the West during the 1980s and 1990s.
Saban’s big-screen Power Rangers reinvents the idea but keeps all the main ideas intact. It follows five ordinary high school kids who ‘…must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late!’
The film stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin with Bill Hader as the voice of robot Alpha 5 , Bryan Cranston as overseer Zordan and Elizabeth Banks as the evil Rita Repulsa.
They arrive in cinemas on 23rd March…
