The final trailer for ‘Logan‘ hit the interwebs this morning and gives a taste of what we can expect from the final adventure of Hugh Jackman’s signature warrior…
Another film that is only a few weeks away from release is Logan, perhaps one of the most anticipated films of the superhero genre in quite some time. Foregoing much of the genre’s flashy, mainstream, all-ages remit, Logan is a film aimed at an adult audience, with a level of intensity and violence to match – something that many fans of Wolverine and Hugh Jackman have been waiting for for over a decade. Director James Mangold gives a classic western feel to proceedings in what is largely believed will be Jackman’s last main outing as the adamantium-clawed mutant.
In Logan, the dispirited mutant has largely given up on life, living alone on the Mexican border after the deaths of many people he loved and fought beside… until he is charged by old friend and mentor Charles Xavier (Patrick Strwart) with the care of a young girl who shares a secret from Wolverine’s past. With his own mutant healing-factor failing and with ‘X-23’ able to handle herself against a common enemy, who will end up saving whom?
This final trailer, released just a few minutes ago, gives a broader look at the main beats of the story of an outing that could well be one of the best to date. The film, released by Twentieth Century Fox, hits cinemas on 3rd March.
Patrick Stewart also posted about the trailer and has a version of it on his facebook page that boasts a few more bits of choice language…
