The Crow Flies Again..?

It was a film and role that was as infamous as it was famous, now The Crow look sets for a possible remake...

8 April 2011

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who helmed 28 Weeks Later, has been selected to helm a new version of James O'Barr's comic-book character The Crow.  The original film starred Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee, and became a tragic landmark movie when Brandon was killed on set due to an accident with a stage-prop weapon... an ironic demise due to the not dissimilar fate of his father. The 1994 film was finished with - what was at the time - cutting-edge CGI, putting Lee's image into unfinished scenes. A series would later follow starring Mark Dacascos...

Fresnadillo will be working with Relativity Media and producer Edward R. Pressman.  Though little is known about the new project, it is labelled as a 'reinvention' of the character and it is hoped the film will go into production in the Autumn/fall.
