Crow Gets New Face, Man

After being in negotiaions for the last few months, it has just been confirmed that 'Face-Man', Bradley Cooper will take the role of Eric Draven in The Crow remake...

24 June 2011

With rumours detailing his potential involvement going back as far as April, there's finally come an official confirmation that Bradley Cooper will take the role of the tragic hero created for comics by James O'Barr and made infamous after the real on-set death of Brandon Lee in the original 1994 film.

Cooper, who first rose to fame in the hit series Alias and has gone on to star in such movies as The A-Team and the even more successful The Hangover movies, will play Eric Draven, who rises from the edges of death to avenge his wife's murder - bringing along with the mythological powers of his namesake and a familiar, iconic uber-goth look.

Relativity Media's confirmation of their film's casting stated that Alex Tse was writing the screenplay and that, as noted previously, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) will be directing. " The original film is known for its breakthrough visual style as well as its unique production design and cinematography. Fresnadillo and Tse are perfectly suited to bring these beloved characters back to life, and to create a world worthy of this modern classic..."
