Super Bowl 2016: ‘These socks were made for Walken…’

This weekend brings America’s annual . But it also brings a range of commercials/adverts that are likely to be just as popular. Including…

Christopher Walken is known for his intense dramatic roles but also for having a wicked sense of humour. But we’d never accuse of him of ‘sock-puppetry’… until now. For an advert created to promote the latest KIA car during Super Bowl 50 – where the Carolina Panthers will take on the Denver Broncos – he dons not only his well known scowl and distinctive voice, but a rather colourful sock – to make his point about standing out from the crowd. Hey, if you’re going to come out of the closet, you have to have a little… pizzazz…

On the big-screen, we’ll next see Walken make an unlikely appearance in Eddie the Eagle and providing the voice of King Louie in the live-action Jungle Book.
