Now here's a rather clever marketing exercise. Almost everyone we know uses skype to make cheap calls and keep in contact via text for free. So what better platform for a film studio to use to promote their film? The Captain America sequel The Winter Soldier has got together with skype to produce a set of new emoticons which are being made available for a limited time with the latest version (which most people download automatically).
From today, if you type in: (captain) (bucky) (nickfury) or (blackwidow) into your text panel, then you'll get the respective emoticon/gif coming up. There's also a fifth 'secret' emoticon' which you're being encouraged to find by following a set of challenges at http://captainamerica.skype.com/ We're betting it's the 'Falcon' character, but we tried his name and it didn't work, so they're being sneaky. Come to think of it a Robert Redford emoticon would also be all sorts of cool...
