Tom Holland makes his solo-Spider-man debut this summer and there’s a new ‘Homecoming‘ trailer and posters to whet the appetite…
Ever since Spider-man became more integrated into the Marvel Universe of movies (thanks to a deal with SONY and his subsequent appearance in Captain America: Civil War) there’s been some anticipation for a new solo outing.
At first, the idea of rebooting the webhead AGAIN seemed drastic (the poor guys had more restarts than any other superhero over the last decade or so), but the footage we’ve seen of this summer’s ‘Homecoming‘ at least suggests a sense of fun that may have been missing – incorporating some of the ‘Ultimate’ version of the character and his supporting cast. Michael Keaton and Marisa Tomei also star with more than a few nods to the Avengers themselves.
That being said, we wonder how heavily this release will lean on the prominent inclusion of Tony Stark / Iron Man / Robert Downey Jnr. as a safety net/web.
